We stayed at the Lake house for 5 amazing nights and it was the best place I have stayed in for a very long time. Let me start with the property. Three spacious suites, beautifully decorated with everything you would need. Kettle, coffee machine with pods, water filter jug, fridge and microwave. A private patio opens out to stunning views of the lake. Mavis and Gordo were our fabulous hosts, we were treated so well, nothing was too much trouble. They were so welcoming. Mavis brought breakfast to our veranda each morning. A different breakfast each day. Always filling and delicious. But it was the warmth that they enveloped us in which made our stay so special. They had dinghies, Kayaks, canoes all for our use for free. The lake is stunning, we saw Eagles and Heron and Storks. There is even a black bear that wonders about. Location wise it is at the start of the Wells Gray Road so easy to get to all the falls, river and lake. I cannot recommend the Lake house enough it and our hosts were perfect.

Come to the Lakehouse at Clearwater for an unforgettable stay in the heart of rural Canada. We loved canoeing in the lake and sitting on the edge of the pontoon enjoying the last of the summer sun. Our highlight was seeing a bear at the painted turtle restaurant on the other side of the lake. Mavis was very friendly and made our stay special. We spent a few hours visiting some of the waterfalls in Wells Gray Park. We would recommend the B&B for a relaxing stay.

A lovely 3 room lakefront accommodation in a quiet town. Each room is standalone and all have views of the lake. There are no indoor common spaces to congregate with other guests. For some , that may be a feature…but for others, perhaps not. A thoughtful simple breakfast was served to us lakeside. Mavis is a wonderful hostess and will go out of her way to help. Definitely recommend. Lots of nature to see in the area.

We had a wonderful stay here! Beautiful location, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and Mavis is a great host! The complimentary breakfast was delicious, allergies and food restrictions were not a problem. The complimentary paddle boards, canoes and boats made it even more enjoyable. We will be back 🙂
